We decided to eat Taco Bueno for lunch today because it's well...more Bueno. I pulled into the drive through and noticed something interesting. Based on his accent, I determined that the gentleman who was taking my order was Indian. No not Oklahoma Indian...India Indian.
I became suspicious; when I pulled forward to pay, I asked if the gal who took my money if the person that took my order was actually in the building. She said no, that he was in a call center somewhere. "I'm not sure where," she said. I thought to myself, "Yeah, I know where it is." I bet you $10 bucks Taco Bueno's drive through call center is in India. "Thank you, come again."

I'd stop eating there.
I bet they get paid about $2 per day.
Michael said he'd stop eating there but that's impossible.....because Taco Bueno *IS* more bueno!
But I can't believe they've outsourced the drive-thru. What an insane job! Geez.....it's bad enough to have to ask if you want fries with that, but to not actually have the skills to MAKE said fries!?? That is appauling.
I'm going to Taco Bueno tomorrow just to see if mine outsources to Quickie-Mart, too. Doh!
So you’re suggesting that the American consumer should have to pay more, or Bueno should have lower profits, to subsidize the income of a lazy and/or incompetent order-taker? Sounds like the opposite of productivity (I.E.: an increase in the quality or quantity of output related to the inputs required to produce it.)
Old Dog:
Unless their government is forcing them to take a job, then the people in India (who very well may be working for $2/day) are doing that job being it is better than their next available option.
Mike I don't think I suggested anything.
I made an observation. Bueno is free to do what they want; and of course, so are their consumers.
