Just a few years ago Bells was kicked out of Tulsa Fair Grounds on the basis of a faulty business plan. Apparently Big Splash's business plan is to fail to make required repairs...
A Tulsa water park operated its two tallest water slides for weeks, despite orders from the state Department of Labor that rotting beams be replaced before it opens. During a “dry inspection” in December, inspectors flagged the ride at the Big Splash water park after finding the tops of beams in the tower that support the Flumes and the Silver Bullet rides were rotting. But when inspectors returned to the park June 3, Big Splash “was using the rides and they hadn’t replaced the boards,” Labor Commissioner Lloyd Fields said....and to fail to pay rent.
Friday morning he [John Smaligo] got a call from Rick Bjorklund, who is the CEO of Expo Square. Bjorklund told Smaligo Big Splash has not paid last year's rent of $130,657. Smaligo also found an uncashed check worth $68,000, half of the rent from 2006.
If Big Splash makes you angry, I suggest you take your business elsewhere. According to the Happy Housewife, there is a little water park in Muskogee

here is also a little water park in Independence Kansas, it also has a free zoo, swings and the like, train rides for $.25, a merry go round for a nickle, and putt-putt for a $1... I'll be going there again next weekend I think.
I'm not much for water parks or things like that. However if I was a regular customer of Big Splash I would immediately stop and let them know I did not approve of their slimy business connections. I will not knowingly support obvious crooks.
This just came up on the Tulsa Whirled web site:
The Expo Square president was fired effective immediately by the Tulsa County Public Facilities Authority.
