Finally We Really Are Moving

It has been a while since I've blogged about it, but we really are still going to move out of East Tulsa. After over 6 months on the market and three price drops, we finally have an offer on our house. Now all we have to do is find a new house further south, close on both houses on the same day and move. No big deal right? I can't wait until this is all over.

Oh, and by the way, Happy New Year!

The Foster MS Chess Club can defeat any chess club in the Union district, including the high school.

There are smart, good kids doing great things on the East Side. In TPS.

I'm still disappointed that you are leaving. You would have been a great force at PTA and school board meetings. You blog could have been a lightning rod for issues to help parents and kids be aware of things happening in their schools, and to make it better. You could have made administrators and teachers much more accountable.

I know you had to do what you thought was best. People leave TPS all the time. But I had hoped you would reconsider.

I don't think you will be much more impressed with Union. And you will have much less influence.

OK, that last post was a tantrum. And I just remembered you are probably moving to BA anyway.

I'm thinking of moving to Owasso or Collinsville, but it is a reaction to Tulsa politics and the fact that I currently reside in the Unhappy Land of Lastville, where PSO fixes the power last. (near 31st and Harvard) Nine days without power after the Maple Ridge tantrum and the "Stop the Chop" lunacy has crystallized my mind.

But Foster could beat Centennial, too at chess. We'd take a beating on board 1, but sweep the rest.

I know you kid will probably go to Country Lane. Good luck.
