We Are Home

We were able to bring my boy home. Before I get to that, my son will now be referred to as “Junior.” I broke my general rule not to post pictures of my children or mention their real names, that was a special exception that has now expired

Anyway, Junior had infant hypoglycemia and had to be admitted to the special needs nursery and placed on a glucose drip. The special needs nursery is not as serious as being admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit but it is more serious than the regular nursery. After a lot of prayer he was discharged healthy and happy. This was a completely new experience for us, as our previous two children were perfectly healthy.

Going through the worries and concerns, the ups and downs of witnessing my son on an IV in the special needs nursery, I have a new found sympathy for parents of children who are born less than healthy. The entire process has taught me a lot about thankfulness, faith, and prayer.

Thank you all for the prayers, for the words of encouragement, and many congratulations. We are finally home, healthy and happy.
