Despite the assurances of Counselor Troyer, and an article from the Tulsa World, I believe that the re-zoning application for Eastland Mall is still on the plate. Yesterday, I went to Eastland Mall and the sign was still up.
I have contacted INCOG regarding this issue, and was told that they had NOT received a request to withdraw this application.

I've heard the same thing. Looks I need to alter my little article, eh?
:)
Something stinks out east, doesn't it?
I read the Whirled's article again and notice what it says:
The application to rezone the mall from CS, or commercial shopping district was filed by Kallay's partners in the deal, he said.(Kallay) He declined to identify the partners, saying they prefer to be anonymous.
Records kept by the Indian Nations Council of Governments show the application was filed by Gail Runnels, an attorney representing Kallay and his partners.
This is very interesting, considering, Gail Runnels is the applicant, and NSC New Markets Real Estate, LLC is the owner, of which is Whichard. So,I guess this means that Whichard and Kallay are partners, now, huh? The application says nothing about Kallay. How could it? He doesn't OWN the property!!!
Awww...the smoking gun? Whichard wants to be an anonymous partner? Gee, I wonder why....!!!!!!
Steven could you explain why INCOG is involved with City planning and who do you think their constituency is?
INCOG is involved because Tulsa does not have its own zoning and planning department. Instead we along with several other surrounding communities pay INCOG to do it for us...
