I took a few pictures of Eastland Mall today...

Here are three interesting ones.

Steve,

You missed the most interesting picture at Eastland. There is a TMAPC sign at southeast side of the mall indicating someone is trying to change the zoning of Eastland to IL (light industrial) !!!! Now how is that for putting the screws to East Tulsa ! You think developers care a rip about out property values out here. Of course this so called new city councilor will probably think Eastland being light industrial will be just dandy. Have you looked at the “undesirable uses” that can exist in light industrial ? Eastland being made light industrial will be the final nail in the coffin for east Tulsa. Hope there are enough councilors with enough sense to turn the issue down (of course, this assumes TMAPC will approve the issue which is a forgone conclusion - "anything for the developer".)

I think the TMAPC hearing date is June 7. Everyone in east Tulsa needs to be present at the hearing to get this affront to our property values turned down.

I’m surprised knowledge of this zoning change request hasn’t been splattered all over blogs in Tulsa. Apparently someone wants the whole think to be hush hush so the dirty deed can be done without anyone knowing.

the sign is the typical 30 day "yellow" INCOG ("we're gonna screw homeowners") sign and is facing 145th east ave at southeast entrance to eastland mall
