Yesterday bloggers from Our Tulsa World, Tulsa Topics and I, along with several other Medlock supporters, gathered to kick off the grass roots effort aimed at making Councilor Chris Medlock the next Mayor of Tulsa. Medlock told the 50 some odd volunteers that he not only would remain in the race but he would win. If how one runs their campaign is a reflection to how they will govern then a comparison between how some of the other campaigns are being run would prove interesting. Medlock outlined his strategy for campaigning smarter not harder, utilizing technology and spending his campaign dollars wisely.
Medlock had planed to hold this meeting next week, however Randi Miller‘s recent announcement concerning her mayoral bid forced him to change his timeline. With such short notice, the turn out was impressive, a testament to Medlock’s base.
