Is your computer secure?

Try these sites to find out if your computer is locked down. They will probe the ports on your computer that are commonly used by hackers.
HackerWatch port scan.
DSL Reports port scan.

If you experience any failures, perhaps you should consider a installing a firewall.

I had a clean bill of health, thanks in large part to the firewall built in to our broadband router, which is configured by default to block all inbound connections.

There's another port security scanner at Gibson Research's website, called Shields Up!, along with a lot of other useful tools relating to Internet security.
