When we said River Development…

…Kum & Go was not what we had in mind. At today’s TMAPC meeting, I learned about a Kum & Go that will be built here, on the Southwest corner of Riverside Parkway and the Creek Turnpike.

Why are we entertaining a gas station on this prime river real estate? Well, while we are at it maybe we should put a car wash and mini-storage on either side. If we are going to waste the riverfront, let’s go all the way!

Did the TMAPC take any action today? I don't think anyone ever thought that river front development equaled Kum & Go. IMO, this is a waste of the river front. What can we do to stop this type of establishment?

Here is a qoute from the Mayor last year......

At our Vision 2025 anniversary observance a couple of weeks ago, we heard from
Sharon King Davis who, with her family, is developing Kings Landing on the banks of
the Arkansas River. It will encompass several acres of shops, restaurants and
entertainment venues, straight across the river from the Oklahoma Aquarium.

I guess this would be the shop mention ?
