I cannot say I am too surprised to see newspapers in decline. I canceled my Tulsa World subscription a few years ago, not because I thought they were slanted or biased; I canceled because I did not see a newspaper subscription as a relevant channel for information. With blogs, news.google.com, talk radio, and 24-hour news networks, I feel saturated.
I really hate wrangling those pages. It irks me to read 1/4th of an article, only to have to flip to the back to find the rest. And frankly, I do not think I should have to pay for news and information. I suspect many folks my age that feel the same way.
