My wife just got a recorded call from former, district 6, Tulsa City Councilor Art Justis encouraging us to vote in the upcoming recall election. Justis explained why he supported the recall. He listed the same tired reasons, or as I like to call them, “lies.”
Art Justis was not one-eighth the councilor that Jim is. Councilor Mautino is an honest man who loves Tulsa and works hard for his constituents. He is fair, knowledgeable, thoughtful, dedicated, and trustworthy.
Oh by the way, did I mention that if the recall is successful, there won’t be an election to replace Jim? The city council will pick whoever they want to fill the post. The absolute last thing we need is another councilor like Art Justis.
Thank you for the reminder to vote, Art. I definitely will be voting on July 12, but it will not be to recall Councilor Mautino. I will vote against recall.
